Often the spiritual seeker will read countless books and attend numerous seminars in search of the truth. Rarely has so much information been so accessible as in Jonathan Parker's series of programs. The first in the "In Search of Enlightenment" series is titled, "Pathways to Mastership," and it covers a wide spectrum of topics. Each CD in this 12-CD set logically provides a foundation of knowledge for the other albums that follow in the series.

What I found refreshing about these CDs is Jonathan's down to earth style. In a recent interview Jonathan was asked to respond to the practical use of his programs. "To me metaphysical theories are worthless unless they have a practical application. What I'm trying to do in "Pathways to Masterhship," "Piercing Illusions," "Gateways to Discovery," and "Quest for Enlightenment" as well as the other programs in the enlightenment series is to help people integrate what they are experiencing through the programs into their everyday lives."

"It seems to me that it doesn't do much good to sit on a mountain for years meditating and then not apply it into how we interact with others and the planet we all live on. We need to test what we learn in our own inner research, our meditations and our everyday lives. Unless we have a proving ground, which is what earth actually is, and unless we successfully impliment our ideas into our everyday reality, then what we think we have learned has not been completely understood or internalized."

Many of the ideas in "Pathways to Mastership" were guarded secrets taught by the mystery schools and some Eastern monasteris in the past. Jonathan points out on one of the CDs that it took many years to learn only a tiny fraction of the information that today is so accesible on the 12 CDs in this one album. To this end Jonathan has demystified and simplified these esoteric studies.

Jonathan believes that each person must have a direct experience of these teachings. According to him, "People need to experience living the lessons, not just intellectualize them. You can describe the experience of love, joy, happiness, mastery and enlightenment, but until you've experienced it yourself, you don't know what that experience really is.

Fortunately, today we live in an era where there are shortcuts to gain the experiences. That is the purpose of the guided meditations in Jonathan's programs, and why they are such an essential part of all the programs. He says, "I'm not just giving information. I'm leading people to experience for themselves the essential truths of these teachings."

This may be the strongest feature of "Pathways to Mastership" and the other albums. Not only does the listener enjoy the lecture format, but the guided meditations that follow provide the "direct experience" of the teachings. You learn how to remove restricting blocks and clear karmic patterns while enjoying relaxing and mind expanding journeys into harmony, peace and enlightenment.

The best news is that Jonathan is always producing more products to help us all discover the answers to life's greatest questions and unlock the secrets to true mastery and enlightenment.
